Through Cowboy's Eyes

Cowboy loves electronics. He loves video games, MP3 players, computers, cameras. All of it. He loves all of it. And he thinks that because all of the people in this house that are bigger than him own and use these things that he should too. Recently Caveman upgraded from his old 1 gig MP3 player to an i-pod Nano. He was kind enough to give Cowboy his old one and Cowboy was thrilled about it until we went to Best Buy to purchase said Nano. He wanted one with an apple on it. So Caveman took the apple sticker that came on the Nano packaging and stuck it to Cowboys MP3 player. Problem solved right? Well, for a few days. The Hottie decided he needed an i-pod Touch, so off we went to Best Buy. Again. We were browsing through the store and all the while Cowboy saying, "I need a lap top. I don't have a lap top. I need one of these memory cards." He doesn't even have anything to put a memory card in. Then when the Hottie picked out his i-pod, "I need an i-pod. I want one with an apple on it. Mine just has an apple sticker." We then remind for at least the 45th time that day that he is four. To which he replies, "But I'm gonna be five."

He loves getting his hands on my camera. He took it the other day and I told him to just take a few pictures. He took 40. 40 pictures of the TV and his feet. It's quite funny to see the things that he feels are photo worthy.

Example #1 His tractor. I don't think that I have ever mentioned on this blog how much this kid loves tractors. Especially John Deere tractors. I have even been known to bribe him into behaving by promising him a trip to the John Deere store. This is a favorite toy of his so I understand why he would want to photograph this.
Example #2 This I don't understand. This photo was one in a series of about seven. The girl on the disney channel that sings the choo choo train song. Interesting.
Example #3 Cowboy feet. No boots. Not even adequate jammies to cover the toes. I've been trying to talk him into trashing these for months. He is not convinced. He loves the way his toes stick out. I guess that's why the majority of the pictures he took were very similar to this one.
I think I'll hand the camera over to him more often. I like seeing the world through his eyes.

I love the angle on the toes. Nice photo. Cute little cowboy. He just doesn't want to be left out with all the cool stuff. Sam has been telling me. "I can't wait till I grow up, then I can zip my coat" or whatever thing he wants to do.
