Back to School

We just wrapped up the second week of school. I think we're are finally getting into a routine. Waking up at 6:30 is even getting easier. This year we have two in middle school and two in elementary.



Caveman is in eighth grade. He is just as fun and confident as ever. He's in chorus again and even recruited a couple of friends because "it's a great way to meet chicks". He's also auditioning for art club again. He's pretty confident since the teacher used his audition piece from last year as an example at the first art club meeting this week. He tried really hard to not let me get a good picture of him on the first day of school, so here he is...looking great.



Sassy is in sixth grade this year. That means middle school. Yikes! Caveman walked her to her class the first day. Her teacher introduced himself and shook Cavemans hand. Caveman said, "Hi, this is my sister, she's in your homeroom, I'm going to eighth grade now." He told me after school that she is one of the smallest sixth graders. And I'm thinking she's one of the cutest too. She looks so grown up with all her hair cut short. And she was so excited to find the zebra sneaks!



Rockstar is in third grade this year. She was so excited to get school and see all her friends. She had been planning her first day outfit for weeks and was so excited when we found the silver scarf at Justice. The perfect accessory.



My cowboy is in Kindergarten. I can't even believe this is happening. But he is loving it. Last year he had a hard time waking up in the morning and never wanted to go to school. So far this year, he has been up before me most days. He can't wait to get on that bus.



Matt started school this week too, so now it's just me and the baby. He hugs and kisses his big brothers and sisters in the morning, then follows them out the door shouting thinks like, "Wub you!" and "hab fun school!" Then he says, "Let's go pawk mommy". It's quiet around here but...we're getting used to it.
