We decided to spend our first day at Disney at the Magic Kingdom. We got up nice and early and walked from our camp ground to the boat dock. We were all pretty excited to go by boat.

The kids all had their first visit buttons on. That didn't last long.
One bit of advice that we recieved about the Magic Kingdom was to always keep left. So we got off the boat, looked around at all the people trying to get into the park, looked left and the lines were shorter. We quickly got into the park and made our way down main street. There were so many people there!

When we got to Cinderella's castle we noticed that a show was about to start so we found a spot to sit and watch.

This guy loved it. We all did. Before we left for the trip, I asked the girls if they wanted to dine with the princesses. They, of course, wanted to. Then I asked them if they wanted to dress up. They both felt like they were too old for that. But during this show, Rockstar was starting to change her mind.

She tried to contain her excitement when she saw the princesses for the first time. But it didn't take long for her guard to come down and she loved it!
When the show over we went to adventure land. The first ride we rode was the magic carpets, then we went on the Jungle Cruise. We waited in that line forever. Then we had lunch. I was worried we would be eating chicken nuggets all week but we found a mexican place and had taco salads. It was pretty good too. We loved the meal plan, everyone got dessert with every meal. What's not to love about that?
Next up we rode Pirates of the Carribean. It's a lot different than it last time I was there. It's all Jack Sparrowified. But still awesome. We picked up fast passes for Splash Mountain then went to the Haunted Mansion. Some of the kids were a bit nervous at first but ended up loving it. We got out of the Mansion just in time to catch the Dreams Come True Parade.

Those Disney parades are so great. The kids wanted to ride the Tea Cups next. Yuck. So back through the castle we went.

We took so many darn pictures of that castle. It's quite pretty. :)
We rode the tea cups. I went with the big kids and ended up just covering my eyes. It was the worst. Matt took the littles and they didn't even spin. Then we rode the carousel.

Next up was Snow White. That ride is scary. But I think that movie is scary too. Anyway, after that we made our way out of the park. We had a dinner reservation, but we needed one more shot of that castle.

Our reservation was at Boma. It was a buffet. And it was African. And. It was delicious. Matt didn't love it but he's not crazy about trying new things. The kids and I liked it though. Once we were sufficiently stuffed, we went back to the park. We got there just before the parade. So we decided to ride. We went to Splash Mountain first. Rockstar didn't want to do it but we talked her into it. She HATED it. Big Thunder Mountain was next and she was sitting it out. But Cowboy went and peer pressure got the best of her. She didn't let go of me the whole time. And Cowboy was terrified too. The big kids rode again with dad while during the fireworks. Then I took the littles to sit and wait for the late parade and dad took the bigs to ride Space Mountain.

Can you tell how exhausted they were? Baby gave up.

It was such a long day. But so fun. We got back to the campground, got everyone showered, and to bed by about one. We fell asleep quickly and slept hard. And woke up excited the next day.

Le, glad you could get your disney pictures posted. I especially like the one of baby on the carousel. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the trip.
