We Finally Did It

We've talked about for years. The kids repeatedly asked, "When are we going to Disneyworld?" So we caved. And committed. We would spend Spring Break at Disneyworld. After doing some research we decided to stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground. A friend of Matt's offered us his camper for the week. I was a little worried at first but it worked out perfectly. The camper had bunks for the boys, a fold out couch for the girls and a queen sized bed for me and Matt. And an air conditioner. It was close quarters for sure but we were only there to sleep. It had cable tv but we never even turned it on. There was a bathroom but our campsite was really close to a Comfort Station so we did all of our showering there. That worked out great because we could all shower at once. So anyway, here's our luxury accomodations for the week...

We left on Sunday morning for what we thought would be a seven hour drive. We got horrible gas mileage pulling that trailer and had to stop several times for gas. Then we ran into some bad traffic. It took us about nine hours to get there. We got our campsite set up then went to Downtown Disney for dinner. We forgot to take the camera. We had dinner at Earl of Sandwich. It was really good and priced very reasonably. We went to the Lego store and checked out some gift shops. There were some great street performers and lots of things to see and do. But we were tired so we went back to the campground. We had to get some rest for the exciting week ahead.

My plan is to do Disney posts all week. We'll see what happens. Stay tuned...
