Glasses

Sassypants got glasses! It was a couple of weeks ago but I haven't had batteries in my camera. I know, I'm a lousy mom. She was and still is so excited about it. She told me she was having a hard time seeing a couple months after school started. We didn't have the kids on our vision coverage, so we added them at the first of the year. Then took the sassypants to the eye doctor. She was so excited when the doctor announced that yes, she did in fact need glasses. She picked out a really cute pair but then was totally disappointed when they said it would be 7-10 business days before they were ready. She was very patient the first week but the second week would ask if the eye doctor called as soon as she got in from school every day. Finally, on Thursday I was downstairs in the laundry room and heard her scream, "YES!!! MY GLASSES ARE READY!!!" So I run upstairs and she is screaming and is so excited so I ask her if we should go pick them up and she says, "oh yeah, they want to talk to you." Needless to say, the lady from the optomotrist didn't tell me anything new. And was quite amused with Sassypants reaction. So we finally were able to pick up her glasses and she loves them! I went to her school the next day and saw that three of her best friends wear glasses too. They are all so cute. And Sassypants fits right in.

Izzy wants glasses so bad! She was really disappointed when she passed her vision test with flying colors. Sassypants looks cute with hers.

They look lovely. Jack found out that he does not need glasses now but may in the near future. The doctor suggested he sit towards the front of the class. He let us know that Jack is color blind. I had asked about Sam and he told me no Sam is fine and so is David but Jack only got 2-3 right on the color blind test. So now he'll tell me when convienent that he can't do something because "Duh, MOm, I 'm color blind" Yeah right. He doesn't fool me.
